You have the right to access a copy of the personal data we hold about you, correct inaccurate data, or delete your account and associated data. We offer this to every EatOutLog user, regardless of where you live, not only where local law (like GDPR or a US state privacy law) requires it. See our Privacy Policy for what we collect in the first place.
Sign in to request your data or delete your account. Use the button in the top nav.
Access & export your data
Submit a request and we'll put together a complete export: every check-in, dish rating, photo, and everything else tied to your account, and email it to you as a zip file. This goes through a person on our end rather than an automatic download, so it can take a few days.
Delete your account
In the EatOutLog app: open Settings, then Account, then Delete account. On this page: sign in with the button in the top nav, type DELETE below, and confirm. Either way it happens immediately, can't be undone, and there's no grace period.
What is deleted: your check-ins (including the location saved with each visit), dishes with their ratings, notes and photos, comments, likes, follows, blocks, badges, notifications, your Want to go list, restaurant claims, sign-in history, your search and sort history, your Taste profile summary, stored and dismissed suggestions, saved settings, and your Discover usage records. Your username and email are removed from the account.
You pay for a restaurant plan. Deleting your account cancels it right away. Your restaurants lose their plan features and become unclaimed, and the rest of the current billing period isn't refunded.
